Pessoal, como anda a vida?

Bom, até uns meses atrás eu realmente não estava nem um pouco preocupada com esse surto de gripe nos EUA que tanto se falava, agora deram uma amenizada nos noticiários sobre isso, mas ainda se ouve a respeito. E ainda continuo não me preocupando muito, pois procurei saber como anda a gripe na região que vou morar. Façam isso, informem-se com suas families, LCCs, enfim…

Claro, mãe que é mãe tem surtos de preocupação excessivos, minha mãe não poderia ficar de fora dessa. Ela começou a comentar comigo sobre isso e começamos a correr atrás de vacina aqui em Sorocaba, óbvio, não obtivemos sucesso porque disseram que é um vírus diferente do que temos aqui, ou seja, nenhuma vacina daqui surtiria efeito, o que faz muito sentido! E outra informação que obtive é que a ANVISA não liberou a vacina pra tomar aqui no Brasil. Então, depois desse insucesso, mandei e-mails pra minha hosta e LCC perguntando como estava a situação na região, quais procedimentos seguir, etc.

*Existem 3 tipos de vírus da gripe, o H1N1 (que é justamente o que está pegando nos EUA), o H3N2 e o B.

Enfim, vou postar a seguir os e-mails que recebi da minha hosta, da minha LCC e da própria APIA me informando a respeito dessa Flu:

APIA:

LCC:

“There is flu in all 50 states. There are also bad colds around as well as stomach flu.
… Do not be alarmed. Some of my aupairs have had the flu shot (vaccine) and some have not. I do not believe anyone has had the flu. A few have had colds, but what has kept everyone fairly healthy is that they wash their hands a lot, keep their kids hands clean, and keep everyone’s hands away from their faces. So, when you arrive, or even before, ask your host mom about her recommendations re: a flu shot. By the time you arrive, the flu season will be winding down. Be careful of what you touch on the airplane and in the orientation hotel. Sleep and eat well and wash your hands. That is the best way to remain healthy”

“You can get the vaccine here. The kids have gotten shots, I have not. Yes, it is flu season here. Lots of people have been sick. Don’t worry, we will figure it out once you get here!”

Bom, depois disso estou mais tranquila, vou chegar na minha familia e já tomar a flu shot! Sem neura e que seja o que Deus quiser! haha
